For the second time the organizers of the Augsburg Literaturhaus, headed by Prof. Stefan Bronner, aka Dr. B, have planned a spectacle in the capital of contemporary pop literature. THE shortlist has just come out: Timon Karl Kaleyta with Healing, Daniel Borgeldt with Cheyenne, Charlotte Krafft with Marlow im Sand, Cécil Joyce Röski with Poussi, Frédéric Schwilden with Toxic Man and Ulrike Sterblich with Drifter. This year’s jury is: Verena Roßbacher, Friedrich Liechtenstein, Leonhard Hieronymi and Katrin M., Dr. D., and Dr. B. (Augsburg Literature House). The award ceremony will take place on June 8th at 7:30 p.m. at HettenBach45 in Augsburg. Three finalists will read from their texts, the jury will comment and determine the winners live with the help of the audience. Friedrich Liechtenstein will treat the audience to one of his brilliant performances!

The evening before, Prof. Dr. Heinz Drügh (pope of pop literature) and Dr. B. will discuss pop literature past and present in the bar OH BOY at 9 p.m. as part of the “Uni am Tresen”, complete with a glass of champagne (realistically it will probably be beer…).

In der Jury sitzen in diesem Jahr: Verena Roßbacher, Friedrich Liechtenstein, Leonhard Hieronymi und Katrin M., Dr. D., und Dr. B. (Literaturhaus Augsburg). 

Die Preisverleihung findet am 8. Juni um 19.30 Uhr im HettenBach45 in Augsburg statt. Drei Finalisten lesen aus ihren Texten, die Jury wird sich äußern und live mithilfe des Publikums die Gewinner:in bestimmen. Friedrich Liechtenstein wird das Publikum mit einer seiner glanzvollen Performances beschenken! Am Abend zuvor sprechen Prof. Dr. Heinz Drügh (Popliteraturpapst) und Dr. B. bei einem Gläschen Champagner (realistisch wird’s dann doch eher ein Bierchen…) in der Bar OH BOY um 21 Uhr im Rahmen der Veranstaltung “Uni am Tresen” über Popliteraur past und present.
